What is Pure Runny Honey?
Additionally, in our assortment, we offer two varieties of runny honey: Runny Wildflower Honey and Runny Forest Flower Honey.
Our Runny Honey is produced by gently processing the honey at a temperature not exceeding 48ºC / 118ºF. This helps preserve its runny consistency while preserving many of its natural characteristics. At this temperature, the beneficial properties of the honey are retained and not significantly affected by heat. However, some changes can still occur even at 48°C.
Although there is no universally agreed legal definition of raw food; however, many producers and consumers consider food to remain raw if it has not been heated above 48ºC / 118ºF. Temperatures above this level may gradually affect naturally occurring enzymes and other sensitive components.
While this honey retains more of its beneficial attributes, it is still considered lightly processed. Therefore, we label it as Pure Honey rather than Raw Honey.
Runny Honey stays liquid for a longer period; however, over time, it may also begin to crystallise naturally.
